After Lebanon and Dead Sea tremors, is a major earthquake possible?

On Jan. 10, residents of Beirut felt a 4.1-magnitude tremor, with an epicenter about 60 kilometers off the coast at a depth of roughly 10 kilometers, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.The earthquake was also felt in Syria and Israel.On Thursday, a 4.2-magnitude earthquake took place in the Dead Sea region, affecting the Palestinian territories, Israel, and Jordan.
