INITIATIVE

'Christmas of Solidarity' brings gifts for disadvantaged children, thanks to you

The holidays are approaching, and L'Orient-Le Jour's solidarity initiative, which supports families most in need, is returning this year.

'Christmas of Solidarity' brings gifts for disadvantaged children, thanks to you

A Christmas of Solidarity ” allows parents to come and choose the gift they want to give their child. This year, the event will take place on Dec. 17 or 18, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., at the Sacré-Cœur Church in Badaro.

Thanks to the generosity of our readers in previous years, we were able to offer 1,650 new gifts in 2023, 2,100 in 2022 and 1,249 in 2021, creating magical moments out of the chaos for many children.

This is why we invite you to take part in the 2025 edition.

You can support the #AChristmasOfSolidarity project, which is collecting donations through Dec. 18. Your contributions will help purchase gifts for parents facing hardship who cannot afford to buy them for their children.

A tremendous challenge awaits, and we are counting on each of you.

We are aware that, given Lebanon's economic crisis, it is very difficult to raise funds, but this makes a meaningful difference in the children's lives during the holiday season, helping them forget, even if just for one night, their harsh daily realities.

To contribute to #AChristmasOfSolidarity, you can donate on our website or drop off an envelope containing cash at the L’Orient-Le Jour offices on Hazmieh Highway until Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the accounting department.

A huge thank you in advance to those of you who will take the time to share this initiative or contribute a donation to help us ease the children's minds and spark joy this Christmas.
