Saudi envoy Prince Yazid bin Farhan will be in Beirut tomorrow at the head of a large "high-level" Saudi delegation, according to local television station al-Jadeed.
According to information from L'Orient-Le Jour, the envoy "delayed" his trip to the Lebanese capital amid Riyadh's dissatisfaction with the slow process of restoring the Lebanese state's sovereignty over weapons.
Lebanese Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar told Saudi channel al-Hadath on Saturday that "Saudi Arabia's mediation had contributed to the successful coordination between Lebanon and Syria," as the two countries began a reconciliation process after the fall of the Assad regime in December 2024.
