In an unprecedented move, 17 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt, on Tuesday called from New York for Hamas to transfer its weapons to the Palestinian Authority during a conference at the U.N. aimed at reviving the two-state solution, Israeli and Palestinian.Although Lebanon attended the meeting, it appears to have avoided taking a stance on the arsenal and future of Hamas, an ally of Hezbollah.This comes as the country anxiously awaits next Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting, which is scheduled to discuss the issue of weapons held by the party.
