MEA announces cancellation and rescheduling of certain flights between July 5-7

Lebanese national airline Middle East Airlines (MEA) announced Wednesday the modification of certain flights scheduled for Saturday, July 5, Sunday, July 6, and Monday, July 7, citing "operational reasons," according to their statement. These new changes come as air traffic is gradually returning to normal at Beirut's international airport, after about 15 days of flight suspensions due to the war between Israel and Iran, from June 12 to 25.

Canceled flights

Flights to and from Amman and Baghdad scheduled for July 5 have been canceled, and passengers have been transferred to other flights on the same day.

  • Beirut - Amman: Cancellation of flight ME310/ME311 (round-trip Beirut – Amman), initially scheduled for the morning of July 5, and transfer of its passengers to the afternoon flight ME312/ME313, with the possibility to change the date without additional charges.
  • Beirut - Baghdad: Cancellation of flight ME320/ME321 (round-trip Beirut – Baghdad), initially scheduled for July 5 at noon, and transfer of passengers to the afternoon flight ME322/ME323, with the same conditions.

Schedule changes

In addition to the canceled flights, the schedules of other flights to Nice, Jeddah, Larnaca, Athens and Rome have been modified.

Flights on Saturday, July 5:

  • ME223 (Beirut → Nice): departure delayed from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • ME224 (Nice → Beirut): departure delayed from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Flights on Sunday, July 6:

  • ME364 (Beirut → Jeddah): departure advanced from 8:55 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • ME365 (Jeddah → Beirut): departure advanced from 12:25 p.m. to 9:30 a.m.
  • ME253 (Beirut → Athens): departure delayed from 6:05 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • ME254 (Athens → Beirut): departure delayed from 9:00 p.m. to 10:55 p.m.

Flights on Monday, July 7:

  • ME271 (Beirut → Larnaca): departure advanced from 8:25 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • ME272 (Larnaca → Beirut): departure advanced from 9:55 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
  • ME231 (Beirut → Rome): departure delayed from 11:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.
  • ME232 (Rome → Beirut): departure delayed from 3:20 p.m. to 9:50 p.m.
