Qatar Airways announced Monday in a statement the resumption of its service to Beirut starting July 1, which had been suspended following the 12-day war between Israel and Iran.
"As of July 1, Qatar Airways will resume its flights to Beirut airport and to Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan," the company said in a statement. It also stated that starting June 30, it will resume its activities "to five destinations in Iraq." The service to Syria is scheduled for July 6.
After 12 days of warf, triggered on June 13 by Israeli strikes against Iranian military and nuclear sites, both sides agreed to end hostilities following American airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities and an Iranian reprisal on an American military base in Qatar. Since then, announcements of resumed flights to and from Beirut, which had temporarily closed its airspace, have multiplied.
