Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Saturday that Iranians gave their “blood” but “not honor” during a 12-day war with Israel, as the country held a state funeral for those killed.
“Iranians gave blood, not land; gave their loved ones, not honor; they withstood a thousand-ton rain of bombs, but did not surrender,” Araghchi wrote on Instagram. He added that Iran “does not recognize the word ‘surrender.’“
