Prior to Friday's escalation in the region, Israeli media claimed the group was producing military hardware at home. But experts provide a more nuanced analysis.

Before Friday's escalation in the region amid Israel's attack on Iran, several reports, especially in the Israeli media, claimed that Hezbollah was rebuilding its military capabilities after much of its arsenal was destroyed during last year's war against Israel. Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth recently reported that Hezbollah was strengthening its military capabilities through the manufacture of drones, inspired by tactics that emerged in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
