The CEO of CMA CGM, Rodolph Saadeh, met separately on Thursday with President Joseph Aoun and Minister of Public Works Fayez Rassamny, with whom he discussed his group's investments in Lebanon, one of the largest in container shipping worldwide. Saadeh was accompanied by Joe Dakkak, General Manager of CMA CGM in Lebanon.
Saadeh told the president that “the group would continue to expand its investments in Lebanon and strengthen the Lebanese economy in all sectors,” according to the state-run National News Agency (NNA). Aoun praised “the role played by CMA CGM in stimulating economic activity in Lebanon and creating jobs.”
During his meeting with the Minister of Public Works, Saadeh informed him of “projects financed and implemented by his group in Lebanon and abroad,” emphasizing his “willingness to contribute to any project of interest to the ministry.”
Founded by Jacques Saadeh, of Lebanese origin, CMA CGM has close ties with Lebanon, where it has developed investments and strategic projects.
