Almost all political players revealed on Wednesday for whom they intend to vote, just a few hours before the eagerly-awaited parliamentary session devoted to the presidential election. Everything seems to point that the army chief, Joseph Aoun, will be elected president. After all, the overwhelming majority of the players finally gave in to international pressure, led by U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein, his French counterpart, Jean-Yves Le Drian, and his Saudi counterpart, Yazid ben Farhan.
