BEIRUT — In a meeting on Monday between caretaker Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib and his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in Cairo, Bou Habib thanked the Saudi minister for the humanitarian aid provided by Saudi Arabia to Lebanon during the war between Hezbollah and Israel, according to the state-run National News Agency.
"I thanked His Royal Highness for the humanitarian aid provided by the Kingdom to Lebanon during the Israeli aggression, hoping for continued political and fraternal support to advance Lebanon again through the reconstruction process and the continuation of humanitarian aid," Bou Habib said after the meeting.
After more than 13 months of fighting in parallel with the Hamas-Israel war in Gaza, Israel and Hezbollah reached a cease-fire on Wednesday.
