Without giving any official reason, Kuwaiti authorities seem to have banned the release of "Black Ops 6." The game is set against the backdrop of the 1990s Gulf War, which began with Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait.

Kuwaiti gamers face major disappointment as the highly anticipated new edition of "Call of Duty" won’t be hitting shelves in the emirate. Production studio Activision confirmed in a statement that Kuwaiti authorities decided to ban the release of "Black Ops 6," the latest installment in the popular war-based video game series, just days ahead of its global launch on Oct. 25. “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has not been approved for release in Kuwait,” Activision announced."As a result, all preorders in Kuwait will be canceled and refunded at the original point of purchase.
