Iraq announced early Saturday that it is suspending air traffic at all airports until further notice due to ''regional tensions'' following Israeli strikes on neighboring Iran.

''Due to regional tensions, Iraqi air traffic has been suspended until further notice to ensure the safety of civil aviation in Iraqi airspace,'' stated Iraqi Transport Minister Razzak al-Saadaoui in a statement released by the official INA agency.
