Berri signals willingness for consensus president amid war, but hurdles remain

During his meeting with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the French Foreign Minister pushed for a cease-fire and the enforcement of U.N. Resolution 1701, describing the delay in electing a president as “irresponsible.”
