Officially, Jean-Yves Le Drian is in charge of the Lebanese presidential file. However, the French envoy to Lebanon's visit to Beirut since Monday is primarily focused on discussing de-escalation between Israel and Hezbollah, as the country appears on the brink of total war.The diplomat has begun his sixth mission in the Lebanese capital since his appointment to this position in June 2023.
