BEIRUT – Lebanon’s instability unfortunately has not subsided in the last year. A few months after the release of Hodema’s 2023 F&B report, a new conflict broke out in neighboring Palestine, which has expanded to the Lebanese borders and as far as southern Beirut. This has naturally impacted the country’s already flailing economy and, in turn, the F&B sector has also been affected. Considering the uncertainty of the future, the number of expats and tourists coming to Lebanon has dropped meaning hotel occupancy rates are not as high as the previous year.Since 2010 Hodema has been surveying, analyzing and studying 11 F&B zones that we shortlisted in Beirut.
