Gap widens further between the opposition and Bassil
Following the controversy between the Lebanese Forces and the Free Patriotic Movement, Kataeb Leader Sami Gemayel speaks of a confidence crisis with Gebran Bassil.
Just over a year after the last parliamentary session was held to elect a president, during which Gebran Bassil’s Free Patriotic Movement and the opposition “converged” on the candidacy of former Finance Minister Jihad Azour, “the honeymoon period” between the two sides seems to be replaced by a serious crisis of confidence.
