Hezbollah issued a statement Friday morning announcing a meeting between its Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, and a delegation of Hamas leaders led by Khalil el-Hayya. The statement did not specify the location of the meeting

According to the statement, "The discussion focused on the latest security and political developments in Palestine in general and Gaza in particular, as well as the situation on support fronts in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq."

The statement further added, "They also discussed ongoing negotiations and proposals for a cease-fire in the aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza."

Talks are set to proceed in Qatar, where the head of Mossad is expected to meet with Qatar's Prime Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Friday.

Both parties "have decided to continue political and on-the-ground coordination at all levels until the intended objectives are achieved," the statement added.
