The Kingdom Centre, an iconic tower in central Riyadh that houses, among other tenants, the regional office of the International Monetary Fund, required office employees to work remotely Sunday amid repeated Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, particularly its capital.

“Working from home is mandatory for all employees in the Kingdom Centre offices, effective immediately and until further notice,” management said in an email seen by AFP, asking employees not to come to the premises.

The shopping mall at the base of the 99-story tower remained open, an AFP journalist observed.
