BEIRUT — A passenger on a Middle East Airlines (MEA) flight from Beirut to Paris on Monday claimed he was carrying a bomb, prompting security personnel to evacuate all passengers. He later told security personnel that it was a "joke," an MEA source told L’Orient Today.
"Security personnel are still searching the plane to make sure that there is no threat," the source said. The flight had not yet departed Beirut as of Monday afternoon, according to Beirut airport’s flight information.
