The Cabinet announced Thursday that government offices, public institutions and municipalities will close on Tuesday, Aug. 25 on the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet Mohammad (Mawlid al-Nabawi).
In a statement released after its meeting Thursday, the government also planned to suspend its sessions for two weeks, and, barring any surprises, is not expected to return to the Grand Serail or Baabda Presidential Palace until the end of August or early September, according to Information Minister Paul Morcos.
