Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said concluded a state visit to Doha on Sunday, where he held talks with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to "support and enhance them across various levels," as well as a number of issues of mutual interest, according to a Qatari government statement.
Oman is currently negotiating with Iran on a joint framework for managing the Strait of Hormuz, a deal expected to pave the way for broader re-engagement between Tehran and Washington.
Qatar has also played a mediating role in peace talks between Iran and the United States.
