The first person Serge Nasr had to convince to publish "Flexible Ending Arrangements" wasn't a publisher. It was himself. With every new draft of the manuscript, the same debate arose. Was he ready to let strangers into his stories of desire, grief, love and family? Did such honesty have a place in the Lebanese literary landscape? He finally answered yes.The book was born out of the same instinct that has driven him for years to photograph moments he fears will disappear. "I take these photos to preserve a moment I lived," he told L'Orient-Le Jour. "The intensity of certain situations can sometimes make us feel like we've left our own bodies.
