Lebanon caught in a spiral of a seemingly inevitable regional war
The Lebanese state is continuing its efforts to separate the Lebanese issue from the Iranian one while seeking to persuade Hezbollah not to enter a new war.

The region is being overshadowed by signs of a broader escalation. The United States appears to be working to assemble an international coalition against Iran. At the same time, Washington continues to raise the possibility of a diplomatic outcome, while several regional actors, including Turkey and Gulf states, have stepped up their mediation efforts.In short, the United States is seeking to achieve its objectives either through war or through negotiations leading to an agreement.On the Iranian side, divisions among the country’s leadership are becoming increasingly visible.
