It’s been five years since he left Beirut, Lebanon, to settle in Paris. Somewhere, on the "good side" of the world, where he could finally live his homosexuality in peace, with no concern for anyone or anything. Yet, this is the first year he’s taking part in Pride. It’s the month of June, when in Paris and many other cities around the world LGBTQ+ communities take up a special place in the public sphere. The month when the hard-won rights of LGBTQ+ people are celebrated, and people reflect on what they still need to fight for and what visibility is still denied to them.
