The Israeli army has announced the death of one of its soldiers, a member of the Golani Brigade, in southern Lebanon, killed in a road accident. "Sergeant First Class Bassel Soueid, 32," was the driver, the army said.
According to information from Israeli army radio, the accident occurred overnight near Robb Talathin, a village in the Marjayoun district located in the eastern part of the border strip occupied by Israel. In total, 37 Israeli soldiers and one contractor have been killed in southern Lebanon.
