BEIRUT — The Israeli army ordered the evacuation of 29 villages north of the Litani River in southern Lebanon this morning, including 16 located deep within the country, more than 30 or even 40 kilometers from the border, in the Saida district. The others are located in the Nabatieh district.
The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesman, Avichay Adraee, published two successive messages around 10 a.m. ordering residents of the concerned villages to evacuate their homes before Israeli military strikes. "In light of the cease-fire agreement violations committed by the terrorist organization Hezbollah, the Israeli army is forced to act forcefully against it," the Israeli army justified.
The localities concerned by the evacuation order are as follows: Zrarieh (Saida district), Kfar Badda (Saida), Kharayeb (Saida), Ansar (Nabatieh district), Arzay (Saida), Briqaa (Nabatieh), Mazraat Bsafour (Nabatieh), Mazraat al-Yahoudiye (Saida), Mazraat al-Wasta (Saida), Mazraat Jamjim (Saida), Mazraat Kawthariyet al-Rez (Saida), Matariyet al-Shumar (Saida), Kfar Sir (Nabatieh), Erkay (Saida), Bnaafoul (Saida), Jbaa (Nabatieh), Jernaya (Saida), Houmin Tahta (Nabatieh), Houmine Fawqa (Nabatieh), Kfar Beit (Saida), Kfar Melki (Saida), Kfar Fila (Nabatieh), Kfar Shellal (Saida district), Ain Bosswar (Nabatieh), Azza (Nabatieh), Ain Qana (Nabatieh), Arab al-Jal (Saida), Sarba (Nabatieh) and Roumine (Nabatieh).
