Bahrain, which was targeted earlier this week, on Saturday condemned Iranian strikes against its territory and neighboring Kuwait, saying it had intercepted seven missiles.

’’The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns these new attacks,’’ it said in a statement. ‘’This blatant aggression is a clear violation of the sovereignty of both countries,’’ it added.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard said overnight that, in retaliation for U.S. strikes, it had launched ballistic missiles toward the Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, where U.S. aircraft are stationed, and the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
