BEIRUT — Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, also head of the Amal Movement allied with Hezbollah, sharply criticized the expansion of the Israeli offensive in Lebanon on Sunday, despite the ceasefire in effect since April 17 and ongoing direct negotiations between Lebanon and Israel.
"I guarantee that the resistance is fully, unreservedly, and immediately committed to a cease-fire. But the question is: who will force Israel to end its aggression by land, sea, and air, and to stop demolishing villages and homes?" he said on NBN.
