BEIRUT — The governor of Bekaa, Kamal Abu Jawdeh, has issued an urgent call to open more shelters for displaced people from West Bekaa.
"Following new threats from the Israeli enemy targeting the locality of Sohmor, its residents, and several villages in West Bekaa, a crisis has arisen regarding the availability of additional centers to host displaced people from the area, in order to enable the authorities to carry out their mission of assisting the population," the governor wrote in a statement.
