BEIRUT — "The differences between Iran and the United States are deep and significant," said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei, specifying that the Iranian foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, is currently holding discussions with a Qatari delegation.
"The details related to the nuclear issue are not being discussed at this stage" in the negotiations. We will not reach an agreement if we try to get into the details concerning highly enriched uranium in Iran," he added, according to remarks reported by the official IRNA news agency.
He also said it was premature to expect a quick outcome from the negotiations, emphasizing that "diplomacy takes time."
