Lebanon–Israel talks: Trump takes centre stage, Riyadh sets out its vision

All eyes were on the second round of Lebanon–Israel talks at ambassadorial level, which was held at the White House on Thursday night (11pm Beirut time) with the participation of U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump's presence — as he attended a part of the meeting, aimed at paving the way towards possible direct talks between Beirut and Tel Aviv — reflects his personal interest in the Lebanese file.
