BEIRUT — The foreign affairs ministry on Friday condemned "the terrorist plot that targeted the United Arab Emirates."

It denounced "Hezbollah's involvement in this plot," recalling "the Lebanese government's March 2, 2026 decision prohibiting military and security activities" by Hezbollah.

This statement comes after Emirati authorities announced the dismantling of a "terrorist network" funded and operated by Hezbollah and its sponsor, Iran.

According to the official news agency, the network was involved in "money laundering operations, financing terrorism, and threats against national security," without providing further details.

On Wednesday, another Gulf country, Kuwait, said it had foiled an attack "by a terrorist group affiliated with Hezbollah," which the pro-Iranian party categorically denied.

The ministry added that "Lebanon expresses its full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, which has always supported it in trials and difficulties."

It congratulated "the Emirati security forces for their vigilance" and expressed "the Lebanese authorities' complete willingness to cooperate in investigations to punish those responsible."
