'It's very hard. We live waiting for a message': Lebanese abroad grapple with war from afar
Since the start of the conflict, many Lebanese living in France are experiencing the war from afar, caught between anxiety, helplessness, and dissociation.
While war rages in Lebanon again, many Lebanese living abroad, experience two realities.
"In Lebanon, our loved ones can't imagine what we're going through," says Savio Haykal, a 21-year-old Lebanese student. "They don't realize we're suffering too, just not in the same way.
