A serious debate is underway in Lebanon over the possibility of extending Parliament’s term and postponing the legislative elections, according to official and diplomatic sources who spoke to L’Orient-Le Jour.Several considerations are at play. First is the need to bring about a shift in the current political balance within Parliament — a shift unlikely to be achievable in the coming months.
