'Al-Beit baytak,' a Lebanese musical with good intentions...

Written by Samer Hanna, this little musical comedy leaves an overall pleasant impression but struggles to reach real cohesion, despite the presence of star actors.

In a mountain village, nestled between hills and waterfalls, a small abandoned family house suddenly awakens from its long slumber.Joumana (Maya Yammine), who inherited it, has decided to part with it. This widow, owner of a mana'ish bakery in Beirut, wants to secure a small sum for her only son Jad (Samer Hanna), a gentle dreamer and penniless filmmaker, to help him get started. She has found a buyer in Marwan (Tony Abou Jaoudeh), the former neighbor and first love of Dalia (Aline Lahoud), her younger sister who has become a singing star.Over the course of one weekend, the former lovers, the sister, the nephew, and the singer’s assistant (Maria Beshara) gather there: five protagonists for a chorus of memories.
