Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar met with President Joseph Aoun at the Presidential Palace in Baabda to report on his official visit to Bahrain earlier this week.

"Ahmad Hajjar discussed the results of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the meetings he held with local officials, conveying to the head of state King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman al-Khalifa's wishes for Lebanon's stability and security, while underscoring Bahrain's continued support in various fields," according to a post on the presidency’s X account.

Leaving Beirut earlier this week, the interior minister was welcomed Wednesday morning by the king of Bahrain, who reiterated "the kingdom’s steadfast stance in favor of Lebanon" as well as his country’s support for anything that preserves Lebanon’s security, stability, unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Aoun and Hajjar also discussed preparations for the international conference in support of the Lebanese Army, scheduled for March 5 in Paris.
