The internet blackout imposed on Thursday by Iranian authorities in response to anti-government protests was still in effect on Saturday, according to cybersecurity monitoring NGO Netblocks.
“Data show the blackout has continued for 36 hours, severely limiting Iranians’ ability to check on the safety of their friends and loved ones,” the organization wrote on the social network X.
