BEIRUT — A man in his twenties, identified as Fouad M., died Saturday after falling into a ravine in the Ehden Forest in North Lebanon, near Mount al-Sin, according to L'Orient Today's local correspondent.
Fouad M. was hiking with a group when he fell from a rocky cliff on one of the slopes of Mount al-Sin. A search operation involving the Lebanese Army, supported by a military helicopter and environmental activists, was launched.
He was later found with serious injuries, including multiple head and body contusions.
After being airlifted from the site, he was handed over to the Lebanese Red Cross and transferred to the North Hospital Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
