BEIRUT — Ongoing investigations into the possible involvement of Israel’s Mossad in the kidnapping of retired General Security officer Ahmad Ali Shukur in the Bekaa Valley on Dec. 19 add to a list of suspected and confirmed operations attributed to Israel’s intelligence agency inside Lebanon.Shukur, whose brother is suspected of involvement in the 1986 capture of Israeli pilot Ron Arad, recently disappeared. Investigators are examining whether he was killed by Israeli agents or taken to Israel, a judicial official told AFP on Tuesday.A source contacted by L’Orient-Le Jour said indications point to a kidnapping attributed to Israel.
