On July 2, 2020, a barely noticed obituary appeared in the pages of L’Orient-Le Jour: Born in Beirut in 1947 to a Lebanese father and Greek mother, Guy Accad, who passed away at 73, had almost no one left in Lebanon to mourn his death a week earlier.His funeral, announced at Saint-Nicolas Church in Beaune, emphasized his deep roots in Burgundian soil, now mixed with his ashes.
