Another name has been added to the list of judges who have left the profession since 2020.Known for her competence and integrity, Sandra Mohtar, who notably served as an investigative judge at the Mount Lebanon Prosecutor’s office at the Court of Appeal, has thrown in the towel after 24 years of service.Her resignation, made official by a Cabinet decree published in the Official Gazette last Thursday, comes at a time when the judiciary has been weakened by years of economic crisis, political pressure and the deterioration of court infrastructure.News of her departure stirred deep concern within judicial circles and prompted a wave of messages of solidarity.
