Following the appointment of Simon Karam, L’Orient-Le Jour learned that during the cease-fire monitoring mechanism meeting on Wednesday, there was discussion of adding other civilian figures to the delegations as needed.

Lebanon took a step forward to avoid a new Israeli war, the threat of which has become increasingly imminent.
