A mosaic of beliefs, spirituality in Lebanon has roots that run deep, long before the Christian era. Every community has left its mark, with more than 3,000 religious sites recorded across the country.From Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, Pope Leo XIV will visit the Saint Maron Monastery in Annaya and the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa, two highly visited ecumenical sites. A few comments for accuracy: - Jbeil is not in North Lebanon, but in Mount Lebanon - Rafqa is not the first woman saint from the region, there were saints since early Christianity days such as Marina and Barbara - Chouf is part of Mount Lebanon as well in the last 2 paragraphs
