The 'new Syria' is returning to the regional playing field and extending a hand to Lebanon
According to each Syrian official who spoke with L'Orient-Le Jour, Damascus has no intention of intervening in Lebanon as it sets out to reconfigure its relationship with countries near and far.

Syria appears to be redefining itself, or at least, is on the search for its new role on both the international and regional scenes.So far, it has chosen to focus on the economy and investments, as well as the revival of social vitality and domestic policy.
