A Palestinian woman was killed Friday by an Israeli drone strike that targeted the Atatra neighborhood near Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, according to a medical source at al-Shifa hospital cited by al-Jazeera.
Earlier, artillery fire was reported in the same area, while overnight Israeli strikes targeted eastern Khan Younis in the southern part of the enclave, in an area inside the "Yellow Line," which marks the territory controlled by Israel within the besieged enclave.
More than a month after the cease-fire agreement took effect on Oct. 10, near-daily violations by the Israeli army have killed at least 260 Palestinians wounded 630 others, according to the latest estimates from Gaza's Health Ministry as of Thursday.
Meanwhile, Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis announced it had received the bodies of 15 Palestinian prisoners as part of the agreement after the handover Thursday night of the body of an Israeli hostage by Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
The bodies arrived at the hospital "as part of the 13th round of body exchanges, bringing the total number of bodies received to 330."
Under the agreement brokered under U.S. pressure, Israel must return 15 Palestinian bodies for each Israeli hostage's body handed over.
