In the early hours of Sunday morning, 24-year-old Elio Abou Hanna was driving his car home after a night out with friends. He is believed to have taken a wrong turn and found himself in Shatila, the Palestinian refugee camp in the southern suburbs of Beirut.While in the eastern part of the camp, he was shot dead by a member of a Palestinian Security Force set up to patrol checkpoints in and around the camp.One of the many questions sparked by this tragic case centers on the accuracy and reliability of Google Maps in Lebanon.Cybersecurity expert Roland Abi Najem told L’Orient Today that the application is "not at all accurate" in Lebanon for a number of reasons."For a period of time we have been living in an active war zone, so satellites are jamming.
