Alongside the first diplomatic appointments since 2017, Nawaf Salam's government adopted a plan for the return of Syrian refugees and migrants "without delay" during its Monday session held in Baabda. The ministerial team officially launched one of the most challenging projects awaiting them. However, at this stage, there was no basis for hope of a breakthrough soon, despite Lebanon's official openness toward the new Syrian government.
