BEIRUT — Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stated, during a speech at the Serail on the occasion of the 100 days since the formation of his government, that the state was continuing its efforts to extend its authority over the entire territory and limit the holding of weapons, affirming that the army had dismantled more than 500 "military positions south of the Litani."
"The state continues its mission, as provided by the Taif Agreement, to extend its authority over the entire Lebanese territory and limit weapons to legal institutions," Salam said. "The Lebanese army has so far dismantled more than 500 military sites and depots south of the Litani."
