Israeli army says it intercepted a missile fired from Yemen

The Israeli army announced it intercepted a missile on Sunday that was fired from Yemen towards its territory, triggering alert sirens in Jerusalem and other cities across the country.

"Following the sounding of sirens recently in several regions of Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted," the army said in a statement.
